Teen killed in Tulare County ATV collision identified
A 15-year-old boy killed while riding a quad runner all-terrain vehicle on Feb. 7 has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Juan Eduardo Alvarado, of Porterville, was riding the ATV near Road 36 and Avenue 84, close to Teviston, when he turned into the path of a 2004 Acura TSX, the California Highway Patrol said. The accident occurred around 2 p.m. on Feb. 7.
He was not wearing a helmet, the CHP said. A family member took him to Delano Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
