Record heat warms Fresno to 78 degrees
Fresno’s high temperature of 78 degrees set a new record for Tuesday, as high pressure in the atmosphere keeps the central San Joaquin Valley sunny and dry.
The previous record for Feb. 9 was 71 degrees, set in 2012. Another record could fall Wednesday – the all-time mark for Feb. 10 is 75 degrees, set in 1961, the National Weather Service said.
Clear, warm days are expected into Friday. The weekend is forecast to cool down into the 60s for highs, but a warm up will return Monday. The next chance for rain may come in the middle of next week, the weather service said.
