Southeast Fresno school locked down after shooting
Greenberg Elementary School in southeast Fresno was locked down Tuesday morning after shots were fired nearby, police reported.
The incident occurred about 11 a.m. as three males were walking near Kings Canyon and Willow Avenues, Lt. Joe Gomez said. A gunman in a car fired at them and two bullets missed and struck the car of a woman who was driving in the area. One of the males briefly ran into the school, in the 5800 block of East Lane, apparently in an effort to hide from the shooters. Officers later located two of the males who were fired on in a shopping center at Peach Avenue and Kings Canyon. The gunman remained at large.
