Two dead in big-rig collision in Madera County
Two people are dead after a collision between a semi-truck and a Toyota Camry early Sunday morning in Madera County.
The collision was reported around 5 a.m. Sunday near Avenue 7 and Road 16, 11 miles east of Firebaugh, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big-rig caught on fire, and oil was spilled requiring hazardous material removal workers to be dispatched to the scene.
The Camry driver and passenger were killed in the collision. Their identities were not available Sunday.
