The young woman who wins will be a spokeswoman and representative of the dairy industry in Fresno and Madera counties and will also represent the California dairy industry in appearances at schools, fairs, industry meetings, service clubs, parades and with the media, the California Milk Advisory Board said.
The newly selected princess will participate in a week of training that includes industry tours, and presentation and etiquette training.
Contestants must 17 to 21 years old, unmarried and have a dairy-related background.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 25, and applications are available at www.californiadairypressroom.com.
The event will be on April 29 at the CPDES Hall at 172 W. Jefferson Ave. starting at 6 p.m. Scholarships will also be awarded.
