Woman who died in central Fresno apartment fire identified

A woman who was found dead after a fire Sunday in central Fresno was identified Tuesday as Joy Silva, 48, the Fresno County coroner’s office reported.

The fire was reported about 2:30 a.m. at an apartment near Peralta Way and Fresno Street. Arriving firefighters found a bathroom full of smoke and discovered the victim.
