As part of the city’s downtown stormwater flood protection project, East Race Avenue between North Tipton and North Burke streets will be closed for one month.

The road closure begins Monday and will continue through Feb. 18.

But businesses on East Race Avenue will remain open, and customers and employees will have access to the street during construction, the city said.

For all other vehicles, eastbound traffic will be detoured north and south on North Santa Fe Street, then to East Douglas or East Murray avenues, then to North Burke Street.
