Bicyclist severely injured in Visalia traffic accident
A bicyclist was badly injured in a traffic collision Thursday morning in Visalia, police said.
Police said a bicyclist was traveling north on County Center Drive at Houston Avenue around 10:40 a.m. when he was struck by a blue Toyota Highlander that was traveling south on County Center turning east onto Houston.
The bicyclist, Freddie Olandria, 69, was severely injured and was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center. He remains in critical condition. The Toyota driver, Bertha Sanchez, 59, was not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
