Visalia woman dies in high-speed crash
A 47-year-old Visalia woman died in a high-speed crash Tuesday night north of the city, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. as the woman was driving east on Avenue 328 at an estimated speed of 100 mph and failed to stop for a red light at Highway 63.
The driver lost control and slammed into a block wall and a utility pole.
The crash is under investigation.
