Wawona Road, Yosemite National Park’s section of Highway 41, is closed Tuesday night after a commercial tour bus drove off the roadway.

Yosemite spokeswoman Ashley Mayer said only one of the 54 bus passengers was hurt when it veered off the snowy road around 4 p.m. That person had minor injuries and did not accept medical treatment.

The road will be closed from the Highway 41/Wawona changeover to just below Yosemite Valley for a few hours while heavy-duty tow trucks work to get the bus, which was bound for Los Angeles, out of the area. Anyone at Badger Pass will be allowed to exit using Wawona.

All 54 passengers have boarded another tour bus and left the area.
