Poverello House short 1,500 toys for children in need
The Poverello House is asking for unwrapped toy donations after learning it is 1,500 toys short of its Christmas goal.
The downtown Fresno homeless center hopes to give each child who walks through its doors a new, wrapped present on Christmas. It will be accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 412 F. St. until Christmas. The gifts will be distributed beginning at 7 a.m. Friday.
Volunteers will wrap the presents from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
