Female pedestrian dead after collision in Clovis

A woman was killed Thursday evening when she was struck by a Ford Mustang near the intersection of Bullard and Villa avenues in Clovis.

The woman may have been in the roadway during the time of the collision around 5:27 p.m., but the cause of the accident is still under investigation, said Clovis Police Sgt. Jim Munro.

Police attempted to resuscitate the victim, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

She was identified Friday by the Fresno County Coroner as Dana Stout, 63, of Clovis.
