Visalia to open outdoor ice skating rink for holidays
A temporary outdoor ice skating rink is being installed in downtown Visalia and will be open daily Sunday through Jan. 3.
The Enchanted Ice Garden is a project of the city’s Parks & Recreation Department.
The rink will go up on Main Street at the Garden Street Plaza between Church and Bridge streets.
Open skate admission will be $10 per person, with a $3 skate rental.
Adult admission is free when attending with a child on “Frozen” movie night from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and on “Star Wars” movie night Dec. 29.
On Wednesday, family night includes a viewing of “A Christmas Story” and costs $5 per person.
New Year’s Eve teen night will be from 8-11 p.m. Dec. 31. Admission is $25 per person.
Tickets to special events can be purchased at the Visalia Parks & Recreation business office in the Anthony Community Center, 345 N. Jacob St.
