Fresno, Clovis firefighters fill the boot in benefit

Fresno and Clovis firefighters gathered at key intersections Thursday to “fill the boot” with cash to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Firefighters gathered at the intersections of Blackstone and Nees avenues and Blackstone and Shaw avenues in Fresno, as well as Clovis and Shaw avenues in Clovis. Passing motorists were given the chance to drop change into big boots held by the firefighters.

The funds raised will provide Valley families impacted by muscular dystrophy with medical equipment, clinics and support groups. The fundraiser also helps fund a summer youth camp that is 100 percent accessible to children with MS.
