90th annual Trek to Nation’s Christmas Tree Sunday

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks’ 90th annual Trek to the Nation’s Christmas Tree ceremony will be held Sunday at Kings Canyon National Park, with free entrance to the park on Dec. 13.

A memorial wreath will be placed at the base of the General Grant Tree, a national shrine in memory of those who served in the Armed Forces and died serving their country. The ceremony will include Jubilation Singers, the Sanger High School Choir and a non-denominational holiday message.

The ceremony will be held at the General Grant Tree from 2:30-3:30 p.m. In addition to free entrance, charter buses to the park from Sanger may be available with a fee and by reservation at 559-875-4575.
