Hundreds of gifts donated for Kaweah Delta’s toy drive
Hundreds of gifts were donated this year in Visalia throughout Kaweah Delta’s “Brighten a Child’s Winter Sky” toy drive that ended Friday.
From Oct. 5 to Dec. 4, dropoff boxes were stationed throughout Kaweah Delta Medical Center and its other satellite campuses, collecting new bikes, perfume and beauty sets, toys and trucks and many others.
The Visalia Fire Department donated safety helmets to accompany each bike donated.
The Child Welfare Services toy drive is still in full swing and will continue to seek donations to help ensure over 1,800 children receive a gift this holiday season. Monetary donations can be mailed to Friends of Tulare County, at 5957 S. Mooney Blvd., Visalia, CA 93277. To learn more, visit www.friendsoftularecounty.org.
