Yosemite to get a dusting of snow
A new storm system will bring a fresh dusting of snow to the Yosemite Valley on Thursday and light rain showers to the Valley.
The National Weather Service said a fast-moving storm will drop snow and rain, but amounts will be light. Yosemite won’t get any precipitation until Thursday afternoon, and by the time the storm pulls away on Friday, just an inch of new snow will have fallen.
In Fresno, rain won’t begin falling until late Thursday afternoon, with a tenth of an inch of rain expected, the National Weather Service said.
The weekend should be sunny and warmer, with daytime highs in the 60s in Fresno and overnight lows in the 40s.
Following Thursday’s storm, the next chance for precipitation is next Wednesday, the weather service said.
