‘Gingerbread Winter Wonderland’ to open at Fresno Yosemite International Airport
Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s annual holiday open house kicks off Thursday with a trip around the world in butter and sugar: a “Gingerbread Winter Wonderland” featuring landmarks like the Eiffel Tower to Fresno’s own Water Tower and historic Armenian Church.
Featuring a 12-foot gingerbread village, the display is the largest of its kind in the Valley. Trees decorating the lobby will be lit in honor of the season, and complimentary parking will be provided.
Thursday starts the airports’ annual toy drive during the month of December. Participants are asked to donate one unwrapped gift for children ages 6-14, with proceeds benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California.
The open house starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include the University High School Flute Choir and caroling by the Roosevelt School of the Arts Choir.
