DUI education event Friday in Clovis aims to deter drunken driving
The Clovis Police Department is hosting an event Friday as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
The education event serves as the kickoff of the AVOID the 21 winter enforcement campaign. The name refers to the 21 law enforcement agencies that are involved.
Friday’s event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sierra Vista Mall. There will be DUI driving demonstrations including a CHP go-cart, beer goggles and marijuana goggles.
The multi-agency DUI crackdown runs through Jan. 3.
