NAMI Fresno to hold gala honoring Bee health reporter

The National Alliance on Mental Illness’ Fresno chapter will hold a winter gala on Dec. 4 that will honor Fresno Bee health reporter Barbara Anderson for her work covering mental health challenges.

The social hour will start at 6 p.m., and the dinner begins at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Newman Center, 1572 Barstow Ave., Fresno.

The event is semi-formal and will also include dancing and a silent auction.

Tickets are $60 and can be purchased by calling NAMI Fresno at 559-224-2469 or emailing chris@namifresno.org.

Proceeds will support the alliance, which provides support, education and advocacy services to those affected by mental illness.
