Band Day shows off marching bands from Clovis Unified schools
Marching bands from all Clovis Unified School District middle and high schools will take the field together Wednesday night to play the “Star Spangled Banner” in unison as the kickoff to the ninth annual Band Day.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium on the Buchanan High School campus.
Bands from each intermediate school – Alta Sierra, Clark, Granite Ridge, Kastner and Reyburn – will then take turns performing. Around 7 p.m. bands from Buchanan, Clovis, Clovis East, Clovis West and Clovis North high schools will perform their field shows.
Band Day is free. It was started nine years ago as a way to showcase the bands in a noncompetitive way.
