Woman dies after three-car collision on Blackstone Avenue

A driver died after a three-car collision late Thursday night in northwest Fresno, police reported.

The incident took place just after 10 p.m. Two vehicles southbound on Blackstone Avenue were stopped at Barstow Avenue when a third car slammed into the back of them.

Two passengers in the first vehicle were uninjured and the driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The female driver of the vehicle that slammed into the other two was found unconscious. She died after being taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center.

A police spokesman said the woman may have succumbed to a medical condition.

No other details were available Friday.
