As the calendar turns toward Thanksgiving, it apparently was time for the dinosaur statue outside the Sinclair gas station at Bullard and Palm avenues in northwest Fresno to bundle up.

The statue was spotted Wednesday with a knitted sweater. Station owner Ali Saleh said it is the work of a “yarn-bombing” (a description for a prank like the one on the dinosaur) group. Saleh said the group members are customers and asked permission before putting the sweater on early Wednesday.

Saleh said he will allow the dino to don the sweater through the holidays.
