Visalia garage fire causes $10,000 in damages
A garage fire in Visalia broke out Monday night, causing nearly $10,000 in damages to the property and sending one resident to the hospital.
At 11:45 p.m. the Visalia Fire Department responded to 3209 W. Country Court and found smoke coming from the front of the house and garage area. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly before they could spread to the remainder of the home. The blaze caused $5,000 in damage to the property and $5,000 in damage to items in the garage.
There were 5 occupants home at the time and they all were able to get out of the house, but one occupant was later transported to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
The cause is under investigation.
