Veterans Day special: Fees waived at some Sierra National Forest sites
In honor of Veterans Day the U.S. Forest Service will waive fees at some of its day-use recreation sites Wednesday.
Falls Beach, Lake Side, Boat Ramp at Bass Lake and Little Denver Church will not charge day-use fees.
No fees are charged at any time on 98 percent of national forests and grasslands, with two-thirds of developed recreation sites in these areas usable for free.
