Condition of man shot in central Fresno improves

The condition of a man shot Sunday night at a central Fresno apartment complex has improved and he is expected to survive, police reported Monday.

The victim was left in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center after an argument broke out at The Parks at Fig Garden apartments near Fruit and Ashlan avenues.

A Hispanic male suspect wearing a black sweater with the word “Aztec” on it was seen fleeing the scene, Lt. Mindy Casto said.

Lt. Burke Farrah said no further information about the case could be released Monday.
