Honor Flight veterans treated to reunion lunch
More than 100 World War II and Korean War veterans were treated to a reunion luncheon Thursday by Old Town Clovis Kiwanis.
All of the veterans have been on one of the first eight Central Valley Honor Flights that take them to see memorials in Washington, D.C.
Through community support, Central Valley Honor Flight has sent more than 500 San Joaquin Valley veterans on trips, with the ninth trip planned for spring 2016 departing from Fresno.
Details on how to help Central Valley Honor Flight are available at www.cvhonorflight.org.
Thursday’s luncheon at the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building included performances by several musical groups.
