UPDATE: Fresno County Sheriff’s non-emergency phone service restored

UPDATE: The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said its non-emergency phone number is back in service. The number is (559) 600-3111.

The Fresno County Sheriff's non-emergency phone line is down, and the sheriff's office is asking the public to call a different number, (559) 488-3111, for any non-emergency issues.

Sheriff's spokesman Tony Botti said technicians are working to get the phone lines to the dispatch center working again, but had no timetable for when the lines would be repaired. The normal non-emergency number is (559) 600-3111 should be back in operation once the lines are fixed.

The outage does not affect 911 calls, he said.
