Hanford motorcyclist killed in collision

A 65-year-old Hanford man died in a collision when his motorcycle hit a car that ran a stop sign, the California Highway Patrol said Thursday.

About 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dennis Kingsley was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Avenue 304, approaching Road 56 west of Goshen.

Anna Gomez, 21, of Visalia, was driving a 2012 Honda Accord north on Road 56 and failed to stop for a stop sign, the CHP said.

Kingsley, who had the right of way, was unable to take evasive action and hit the Honda on the left side.

He was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

No drugs or alcohol were involved, the CHP said. The collision remains under investigation.
