A public memorial service for Fresno attorney Lowell Carruth featuring his law school roommate, former California Gov. Pete Wilson, will be held Thursday at Pardini’s on West Shaw Avenue.
The event will begin at noon and is open to the public.
Carruth, a veteran Fresno trial attorney and partner of the McCormick Barstow law firm, died Oct. 23 at age 77.
The eulogy will be delivered by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill, who worked at McCormick Barstow from 1979 to 1990 and left as a partner to go onto the Fresno County Superior Court bench. He has been a federal judge since 2007.

Also speaking will be Carruth’s daughter, Marlo Carruth, who is chief counsel for the Disney Corporation, son Kenton Carruth, brother Joseph Carruth, law partner Lawrence E. Wayte and Wilson.
