Guns fire, troops run, battles waged in Fresno’s Civil War Revisited

For the 26th year, the Civil War Revisited was played out Saturday in front of spectators at Kearney Park.

Hosted by the Fresno Historical Society in partnership with the American Civil War Association, the event brings the war to life with re-enactments of battles involving Union and Confederate forces. Actors wearing period clothing portray famous Americans, such as President Abraham Lincoln.

The re-enactment continues from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the park west of Fresno. For more information, go to www.valleyhistory.org.
