Dressed-up pooches strut in Fresno event

All manner of canines were on display Saturday in Fresno’s Tower District during the eighth annual Whitie’s Pets Pooch Parade, Carnival and Costume Contest. Up for competition were best dog costume, best pet-owner combination costume, best dog float and cutest dog. Entertainment, a “beer and bone” garden, and pet vendors added to the event. Whitie’s Pets is a family owned pet store on North Blackstone Avenue in Fresno.
