DMV to offer final Saturday hours

The Department of Motor Vehicles will offer its last weekend service on Saturday .

The DMV has been offering temporary Saturday hours since Jan. 3 to help undocumented individuals.

Demand for licenses increased after the Safe and Responsible Driver Act, which has allowed undocumented individuals to apply for a driving license with proof of identity and California residency.

Because the number of applications have now been reduced, the DMV will close its offices during the weekend.
