Fresno veterans get new ‘hospitality house’
Central Valley Veterans held an open house Thursday of its new “hospitality house,” a single-family home near the Fresno Veterans Administration Hospital.
Central Valley Veterans President Mike Russell said the renovated two-bedroom home on Princeton will be used as temporary housing for veterans who might need a few days or weeks before moving into permanent housing.
Russell said the group expects its first guests in November. The house, which was purchased for $133,000, according to board Treasurer Deb Riordan, eventually will be converted to three bedrooms.
