Anti-human trafficking bike ride coming to Tulare, Visalia, Hanford, Fresno

Bicycle riders participating in the Bicycle Ride Against Human Trafficking are scheduled to arrive Thursday in Tulare and in Visalia and Hanford on Friday.

Sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin and United Way of Kern County, the 750-mile Bakersfield-to-Modesto fundraising tour brings awareness to the problem of human trafficking.

Riders will arrive about 1 p.m. at St. John’s Church in Tulare, 1701 E. Prosperity Ave.

Friday, they’ll ride to Visalia to be greeted by government and law enforcement officials at 10 a.m. at Peace Officers Memorial Park at Woodland Street and Burrel Avenue, organizers said.

They will ride to Hanford the same day.

The tour will arrive about noon Monday in Fresno at Fresno Pacific University, and about 2 p.m. at Holy Family Episcopal Church on Alluvial Avenue.

The tour ends Oct. 23.
