Valley hospitals host NICU ‘graduates’

Two Valley hospitals – Community Regional Medical Center and Valley Children’s Hospital – held reunions Saturday for graduates of their neonatal intensive care units.

At Community Regional, about nine families with triplets born at the hospital who spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit, plus twins and families were among the more than 1,000 people estimated to have attended the event, which included a mobile zoo unit, games, food, Safe Kids fingerprinting and more.

At Valley Children’s, the 36th Annual NICU Graduates Picnic drew former patients of the neonatal intensive care unit and gave them the opportunity to catch up with nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers.
