Representatives from Kochi, Japan will visit Fresno next week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fresno-Kochi Sister City partnership, the Fresno-Kochi Sister City Committee said.

The delegation, which consists of city officials and other citizens from Kochi, will be in Fresno from Oct. 6 to 10.

They will visit the Fresno City Council, The Big Fresno Fair, the Shinzen Garden at Woodward Park and Holland Elementary School.

Holland Elementary recently renewed a school partnership with Enokuchi Elementary School in Kochi. The partnership began in the mid 1960s, the committee said.
