Kings County flu shots available
The Kings County Department of Public Health will begin offering flu shots on Oct. 7.
The health department will offer vaccines from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays by appointment and walk-ins only from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the health department in Building 3 at 330 Campus Drive in Hanford.
Flu shots also will be offered at regular immunization clinic times in Avenal, Corcoran and Lemoore, and at special flu vaccine clinics in Home Garden, Kettleman City and Stratford.
For special county flu clinic times and locations, call the health department at 559-584-1401. People also can contact health providers for influenza vaccine.
The health department will charge a $5 administration fee for the uninsured or underinsured, but no one will be turned away for inability to pay.
Flu shots are recommended for everyone who is 6 months of age or older.
