Tomatoes cover Highway 41 south of Fresno after big rigs collide

Tomatoes were scattered across southbound Highway 41 following a crash Wednesday morning involving two big rigs at Elkhorn Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.

One big rig slammed into the second about 6:30 a.m. One driver was reportedly taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The CHP is directing traffic around the crash, but southbound vehicles are backed up about a mile.
