No one seriously hurt in seven-vehicle accident on Herndon in Clovis

Seven vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash Monday morning on Herndon Avenue in Clovis, but no one was injured, police said.

Eastbound Herndon between Peach and Villa avenues was closed for nearly three hours for cleanup and investigation.

Spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee described what happened about 9:15 a.m.: A champagne-colored Chevrolet Silverado pickup hit a brown Toyota Camry. The Camry sideswiped a Ford Fiesta and the Camry hit the back of a Ford Edge. The Edge rear-ended a Chevrolet Equinox. After the Silverado hit the Camry, it veered to the right as it rolled onto its right side and hit a white Chevrolet Colorado. The Colorado then rear-ended a Toyota Prius.

Two people in the Silverado were taken to a hospital for observation.
