The Fresno Mosquito and Vector Control District is planning fogging operations early next week to reduce the risk of West Nile virus in Fresno.

Parts of central Fresno will be sprayed Tuesday from 10 p.m. to midnight, generally south of Shaw Avenue, west of West Avenue, north of Emerson Avenue and east of Hughes Avenue.

The fogging operation does not bring any significant health risks, but residents are reminded to keep doors and windows closed while the area is being sprayed, the district said.
