Man in stable condition after crash in east-central Fresno
A 70-year-old man is recovering after he was critically injured Wednesday in a two-car crash in east-central Fresno.
The man is now in stable condition, police said Saturday.
Fresno police Lt. Joe Gomez said the man was driving north on Maple Avenue when he swerved into a car stopped in the turn lane at the Shields Avenue intersection. The crash caused the man’s truck to spin out and strike another truck.
The driver’s seatbelt did not work, Gomez said, and he was thrown out of the passenger side window of his truck.
