Food distribution and health education offered in Fresno

Anthem Blue Cross, Community Food Bank and Feeding America will distribute food and provide health education in Fresno from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Catholic Charities, 149 N. Fulton St.

The food giveaway is part of Hunger Action Month.

In addition to the food distribution, Anthem will provide a “Gardens on the Go” vegetable seed planting demonstration for children, and a healthy cooking demonstration will be offered from a Nutrition on Wheels vehicle.

Food distributions will be held at Catholic Charities from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month until February.
