Highway 41 in downtown Fresno reopened after body removed

All lanes at the Highway 41/180 interchange near downtown Fresno have reopened after a person fell or jumped from the Highway 180 overcrossing onto Highway 41 Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

CHP officers found the body blocking the slow lane of northbound 41 under the 180 overcrossing about 3:30 p.m. The person was pronounced dead at the scene; authorities did not identify the gender or name of the individual.

The second and third lanes of Highway 41 were closed for about an hour.
