Rappelling for Girl Scouts fundraiser takes donors ‘over the edge’

The Girls Scouts of Central California South are going vertical in their fundraising efforts – all the way to the top of the Pacific Southwest Building, Fresno’s tallest skyscraper.

For donations of $1,000 or more, participants can rappel down the side of the 16-story building during the “Over the Edge for Girls” event, which began Friday and continues Saturday. Donations of $2,500 will send a celebrity over the edge.

The Girl Scouts are expecting 35 “Edgers” to participate between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.
