Police to hold block party in southeast Fresno

Officers from the Southeast Policing District in Fresno will partner with volunteers to hold a block party at the Peachwood Village recreational area, 1221 N. Peach Ave.

The event is part of an effort to foster police-community engagement and to address neighborhood problems that lead to violence.

The festivities will include free food, music, games and entertainment.

The public is invited to attend the event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
