Tulare County Fair celebrates county’s bounty

The 96th annual Tulare County Fair is underway, with rides, livestock exhibitions, monster trucks, yummy treats and bubble fun in the Kids Zone.

Friday’s fair events will include a Monster Truck show that starts at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m., tickets are $15 at the gate, $5 presale for children ages 5 to 12 or $8 at the gate. Kids 4 and younger get in free. Friday’s featured entertainment will be Foghat, with a show at 8 p.m.

The fairgrounds are at 620 S. K St. in Tulare. Fair hours Friday are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; hours for regular carnival noon to midnight, kids carnival, noon to 11 p.m. Fair admission is $4 per person on Friday Family Value Day; regular admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12.

The fair ends on Sunday.
