Auberry man dies in house fire

An Auberry man whose body was found inside a mobile home after a fire early Friday was identified as Tim Cox, 36.

Firefighters found Cox after putting out the blaze in the 33600 block of SJ and E Road.

The blaze erupted about 2 a.m. Fresno County sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said Cox died along with two of his dogs. The death appears to be an accident, but fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
