Hanford man airlifted after crash

A Hanford man sustained major injuries late Thursday when the SUV he was driving collided with a tree on East Lacey Boulevard west of Highway 43, police reported.

The crash occurred about 8:21 p.m.. Hanford firefighters used hydraulic equipment to extract Joe Carrasco from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. The crash is under investigation.
