Exercise equipment added to Old Town Clovis Trail
People using the Clovis Old Town Trail now can add pull-ups, chin-ups and other strength and balance exercises to their walking, jogging and biking routines.
Ten pieces of exercise equipment, including plank and balance boards, hand and leg cycles, chest and leg presses have been added to the trail on Clovis Avenue, between Gettysburg and Santa Ana avenues.
A $40,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente Fresno covered the purchase of the equipment and installation.
“Kaiser Permanente Fresno is thrilled to be able to provide this top-of-the-line exercise equipment as an option for Valley residents wanting to stay healthy,” said Debbie Hemker, senior vice president and area manager Debbie. “This equipment is a great addition to the beautiful trail that runs through Old Town Clovis.”
Clovis Mayor Nathan Magsig , other city officials and Kaiser representatives will show off the equipment at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
